The player in question has not been named, but it is believed to be a midfielder or forward. Juventus are thought to be keen on strengthening their squad in January in order to challenge for the Serie A title. Manchester City, meanwhile, are said to be open to the idea of loaning out the player in order to give him more game time.

Juventus have a history of signing players on loan from Manchester City. In 2018, they brought in Joao Cancelo on a season-long loan, before signing him permanently the following summer. In 2019, they signed Danilo on loan, and he is still at the club.

It remains to be seen whether Juventus will be able to agree a loan deal with Manchester City in January. However, the talks are a sign that the two clubs are continuing to build a relationship.
