Former PepsiCo Executive Kimberly Cheatle Sworn In as 27th Director of US Secret Service

Former PepsiCo Senior Director Kimberly Cheatle has been sworn in as the 27th director of the United States Secret Service.

Cheatle, a career law enforcement professional, joined the Secret Service in 1995 and spent over two decades there before leaving in 2021 to lead the North American security operations for PepsiCo.

Cheatle holds a Presidential Rank Award for exceptional service, bestowed upon her by President Joe Biden in 2021.

Her appointment as Secret Service director comes after a tumultuous period for the agency, which has faced criticism for its handling of security breaches and other incidents.

Cheatle says she is committed to leading the Secret Service with "honor, integrity, and professionalism," and to working with Congress and other stakeholders to strengthen the agency.
