Azerbaijan Grand Prix – live race updates: Verstappen wins after Leclerc retires

Lap 50:

Verstappen is now over 20 seconds ahead of Perez, with Sainz a further 10 seconds back. Leclerc is now down in ninth place, after a safety car period caused by a crash between Tsunoda and Stroll.

Lap 35:

Leclerc has retired from the race with an engine failure. Verstappen now leads the race from Perez, with Sainz in third. Hamilton is up to fourth, after passing Alonso.

Lap 15:

Verstappen has taken the lead of the race from Leclerc, after a safety car period caused by a crash between Latifi and Albon. Perez is now in second, with Sainz in third. Hamilton is up to fifth, after passing Gasly.

Lap 1:

Leclerc has made a good start and leads the race from Verstappen. Perez is in third, with Sainz in fourth and Hamilton in fifth. The race is underway at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
